I specialize in a select grouping of genres and subject matter, including speculative fiction (science fiction, urban fantasy), historical fiction, mysteries (police procedural, historical, cozy), romance (multicultural, historical, contemporary), adventure, women’s fiction, YA, literary, and distinctive nonfiction. I also enjoy editing contemporary translations for American audiences.

Hi, I’m Brittany Dowdle.
I’m a book editor specializing in historical, mystery, and speculative fiction (SF/F) . . . and sometimes, the place where they collide.
